PhD position at University of Luxembourg

PhD thesis position @Security, Reasoning and Validation Group at SnT, Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, University of Luxembourg.

The project “Space-program Architecture Modelling Platform” (SAMP) aims to propose a framework to support space program development.
The main goal is to enable decision-makers and stakeholders to collaboratively make complex strategic decisions.

The SAMP project will involve MBSE, multi-disciplinary optimization, etc.

The expected outcomes of the proposed PhD thesis are threefold:
– A formalism that allows concurrent design of capture space program elements, including their relations and variability.
– Multi-disciplinary optimization algorithms to ensure collaborative optimization, consistency and requirements traceability during the design of space program architectures.
– Optimization meta-heuristics to broaden and automate the design space exploration and trade studies.

If you are highly motivated and teamwork-oriented, interested in the space domain and have experience in some of the following topics: MBSE, multi-disciplinary optimization, combinatorial and/or continuous optimization algorithms, then you should definitely apply!
